Cabinet fulfills over half of commitments for EUR 500 mln tranche from EU

The Cabinet of Ministers has fulfilled more than half of the commitments required for the provision to Ukraine of a second tranche worth EUR 500 million from the EU, the press service of the Ukrainian Finance Ministry has reported on its Facebook page.

According to the report, Ukrainian Finance Minister Oksana Markarova held a meeting with European Commission Vice-President Valdis Dombrovskis to discuss progress in the implementation of the fourth program of macro-financial assistance from the European Union.

"Today, the government has fulfilled more than half of the commitments required for the provision of Ukraine with a second tranche of 500 million euros, and five more out of the 12 terms envisaged by the program are at different stages of implementation," the report said.

In particular, the minister said that the results of the selection of judges for the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine would be announced in the next few days. She also said that on February 28, the Ukrainian parliament ratified the Multilateral Convention to Implement Tax Treaty Related Measures to Prevent Base Erosion and Profit Shifting. The draft law on the introduction of an institution of an authorized economic operator was also adopted at first reading.
