Ukraine will be able to refuse from imported gas in the next five years thanks to the opening of access to Ukrainian mineral resources, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said.
“We have many opportunities to become energy independent. We are starting to launch a very complex and closed system – access to Ukrainian subsoil assets. I believe that in the next five years, this will give us the opportunity not to buy gas but to extract it in Ukraine," Groysman said during the Freedom of Speech program on Monday.
