The electoral process may have a negative impact on the country’s economic growth as the entrepreneurs will wait for the election results, curbing investment.

“We have reached the macroeconomic stabilization and plan the economic growth, although we understand that the electoral process does not have a very positive impact. Those, who want to invest, are also involved in public life in Ukraine. They see the programs offered by candidates. When they see a lot of absurdity or the people, who cannot protect investments, then they choose to wait for the election results," Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said on the air of the Freedom of Speech TV program, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

The Prime Minister stressed that the systemic changes would be ongoing in 2019, despite the elections.

“Our life in the upcoming period depends on our choice. We plan to continue the economic growth in 2019 in order to achieve the real growth of people’s income and the competitive economy in our state,” Groysman added.
