Ukraine consumed 586.6 mln cubic meters of gas over past week

As of January 30, there were 11.2 billion cubic meters of gas in Ukrainian underground storage facilities. Thus, Ukraine consumed 586.6 million cubic meters of gas over the past week.

The press service of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine told this to Ukrinform.

"Gas stocks in Ukrainian underground gas storage facilities over the past week decreased by 586.6 million cubic meters, and as of January 30, 2019, they amounted to 11.2 billion cubic meters,” reads the report.

The company noted that as of January 30, gas stocks were 800 million cubic meters less compared with the corresponding period last year.

At the same time, Naftogaz stressed that gas stocks in underground gas storage facilities are enough for the heating season.

As reported, Ukraine started the 2018/2019 heating season with the reserve of 17.2 billion cubic meters of gas, the highest since 2014.
