Ukrainian households already invest EUR 151 mln in solar power plants

As of the end of 2018, about 7,500 Ukrainian families installed solar power plants with a total capacity of almost 160 MW. 

These households invested EUR 151 million in the installation of the solar power plants, the press service of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine reports.

"It is important that more than half of all the solar power plants, namely almost 4,500, were installed in 2018. This number is more than twice as large as the number installed in 2017 (1,901)," the Agency’s chief Serhiy Savchuk commented on the monitoring results.

The biggest number of the solar power plants was installed in the households of the following regions: Dnipropetrovsk (882), Kyiv (838), Ternopil (664), Ivano-Frankivsk (484), Kirovohrad (469).
