PM Groysman calls on Norwegian business to invest in Ukrainian economy

“We have extremely good potential for the development of economic cooperation between the two countries. Ukraine has large-scale investment opportunities. Your investment success is our country's success. That is, in fact, we have the same goals, and we are ready to apply new business support mechanisms in Ukraine. Therefore, I urge the business of the two countries to combine their potential and ensure the growth of economies of our countries," the Head of the Government of Ukraine said, speaking at the Norwegian-Ukrainian Business Forum, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Groysman noted that he had met with the representatives of Norwegian business on the eve of his visit to Norway, and they expressed interest in investing in Ukraine.

According to him, about 50 Norwegian companies currently operate in Ukraine and have quite a successful business. "I am convinced that those sectors, where we can combine our potential and investments, are very promising," the Prime Minister of Ukraine said.

The priority areas of Ukraine-Norway cooperation are energy, including the energy efficiency sector, the agro-industrial complex and the latest technologies, he stressed.

In addition, according to Groysman, Ukraine has opened up opportunities for investing in its property, which is rather promising.

As noted, the Ukrainian government is fully aware of its tasks to create a favorable business climate and already takes the necessary steps. "We have launched systemic changes, including in terms of ease of doing business. Therefore, the positive changes in the economy, which have been observed recently, show that the economy will continue to grow, and the initiated reforms will contribute to this growth," the Prime Minister said.
