Ukraine, WIPO discuss reform in field of intellectual property

The Economic Development and Trade Ministry of Ukraine and the World Intellectual Property Organization discussed the key areas for reforming the field of intellectual property in Ukraine.

"During a working visit to India, First Vice Prime Minister - Economic Development and Trade Minister of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv met with Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization Francis Gurry. They discussed the key issues of the reform in the field of intellectual property in Ukraine," the press service of the Economic Development and Trade Ministry of Ukraine reports.

Kubiv noted that the effective work requires the establishment of close cooperation with the experts of the World Intellectual Property Organization, in particular, concerning the joint preparation of the national strategy of Ukraine for the development of the field of intellectual property.

"The combination of the expertise of specialists of the Ministry of Economic Development and the WIPO will allow to create a qualitative strategic document for the field of intellectual property, which will become a guideline for the development of high-tech industries in Ukraine," the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine stressed.
