Ukrainian corn exports grow more than twofold

In September-November 2018, Ukrainian farmers exported 4,663 tonnes of corn, up 112% compared with the same period last year.

 “For three months of 2018-2019 MY (September-November), Ukraine exported 4,663 tonnes of corn, up 112% compared with the same period last year (2,202 tonnes). It is also a record high for this period since 2013-2014 MY,” the press service of the UkrAgroConsult consulting agency reports.

The main directions of Ukrainian corn exports were the European Union, China and Libya. Ukrainian corn exports to the EU grew more than four-fold compared with the same period last year, while the exports to Libya increased by 110%. Turkey boosted imports of Ukrainian corn by 125%.
