Avocado imports to Ukraine doubled last year

The fruit and vegetable business analysts point to the rapid growth of avocado imports to Ukraine in 2018, up to more than 4,000 tonnes.
"The East-fruit analysts point to a sharp increase in avocado imports to Ukraine in 2018. For 11 months, the avocado imports to Ukraine doubled and hit all-time high. We expect that more than 4,000 tonnes of avocados will be imported to Ukraine by the end of the year doubling the volume of imports in 2017," the press service of the Еast-fruit analytical fruit and vegetable business platform reported.
According to experts, Ukraine imports 92% of avocados from South Africa, Peru, Israel and Kenya. Substantial volumes are also delivered from Mexico, Spain and Chile.
