Ukraine-Moldova trade turnover grows by 20%

In 2018, the volume of trade between Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova has increased by 20%.

“During the meeting with Prime Minister of Moldova Pavel Filip, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko emphasized the importance of deepening the interaction of the two countries within the framework of international organizations and enhancing the economic relations. Only in 2018, the volume of trade between the two countries has increased by 20%,” the press service of the Government of Moldova reported following the meeting of Prime Minister of Moldova Pavel Filip with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, an Ukrinform correspondent reports from Moldova.

As noted, the President of Ukraine advocated stepping up joint efforts to ensure regional security and protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and Moldova.

Moldovan Prime Minister Pavel Filip expressed his satisfaction with Ukraine’s decision to extend in the near future the period of stay of Moldovan vehicles, which are engaged in passenger and freight traffic, on the territory of Ukraine (currently the maximum period of stay is limited to 90 days).
