Construction industry grew by 6.3% -- Partskhaladze

In January-November 2018, Ukrainian enterprises completed construction works worth UAH 115 billion, which is 6.3% higher compared with the corresponding period in 2017.

The press service of the Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Ministry reported this with reference to Deputy Minister Lev Partskhaladze.

“Over eleven months of 2018, Ukrainian construction enterprises completed works worth UAH 115 billion. In general, the industry grew by 6.3% from the corresponding period in 2017. Throughout the year, the construction industry has not fallen back and continues to grow steadily and show positive results,” he said.

In the context of regions, the leaders in performance of construction works were Odesa region (UAH 12.9 billion), Dnipropetrovsk region (UAH 11.5 billion), Kharkiv region (UAH 10.9 billion) and the city of Kyiv (UAH 25.9 billion).

New construction, reconstruction, and technical re-equipment made up 73.8% of the total volume of completed construction works, major and current repairs – 17.4% and 8.8% respectively.
