Lviv Regional Council approves budget for next year

"The Lviv Regional Council at an extraordinary session on December 11 adopted the budget for 2019. The main financial document envisages expenditures at UAH 14.5 billion. Almost UAH 1.42 billion will be spent on the implementation of regional programs in Lviv region next year," press secretary of the regional council Uliana Lavryk said.

According to the approved document, more than UAH 1 billion will be allocated for road repairs, almost UAH 2.5 billion for healthcare, UAH 1,292 million for social protection, UAH 343 million for culture, and UAH 49 million for energy saving measures.

Also, the Lviv authorities intend to open at least 50 new enterprises, create more than 5,000 new jobs, and attract $50 million in foreign direct investments. According to the approved document, an average monthly salary is projected at UAH 9,020, which is 13.7% higher from the previous year.
