Sugar refineries in Vinnytsia region produced 315,000 tonnes of sugar

As of December 10, sugar refineries in Vinnytsia region produced 315,000 tonnes of sugar, according to the information activities and public relations department at the Vinnytsia Regional State Administration.
"Five sugar refineries currently operate in the region. Sugar production amounts to 315,000 tonnes. About 700,000 tonnes of sugar beet are still to be processed," reads the report.
According to the department, the region’s sugar refineries processed 2.5 million tonnes of sugar beet from a total of 3.2 million tonnes gathered.
Five out of six sugar refineries operate in the region, as Ilinetskyi Sugar Refinery LLC completed the production season at the end of November.
