IMF on December 18 to discuss further cooperation with Ukraine

The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will hold a meeting on December 18 to discuss further cooperation with Ukraine, according to the IMF website.
“The agenda of the day: Ukraine - Request for a Stand-by Arrangement and Cancellation of Arrangement Under the Extended Fund Facility (SC),” reads the report.
Earlier, IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde said that the International Monetary Fund positively assesses the prospects for cooperation with Ukraine on a new Stand-By loan program and added that the decision on the first tranche will be taken after December 10, after the Ukrainian government performs all the preparatory measures.
As Ukrinform reported, the International Monetary Fund and the Ukrainian authorities on October 19 reached an agreement at the level of the Fund’s experts regarding a new Stand-By Arrangement in the amount of $3.9 billion.
