Trade turnover between Ukraine and Turkey grew by almost 14%

The trade turnover between Ukraine and Turkey reached $3 billion in January-September 2018, according to First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv.    

"Over the nine months of 2018, Turkey ranks 1st among the countries of the Middle East region in terms of trade turnover with Ukraine, which grew by 13.7% and totaled $3 billion,” Kubiv wrote on Facebook following a meeting with Turkey’s Minister of Food, Agriculture and Livestock.

Kubiv noted that the Free Trade Agreement should open as much as possible the access for Ukrainian agricultural products to the Turkish market.

As Ukrinform reported, the turnover of agrarian and food products between Ukraine and Turkey grew by 31% in 2017 from 2016 and amounted to $1.23 billion.
