European Investment Bank allocates EUR 200 mln for Ukrainian urban transport

The Infrastructure Ministry of Ukraine and the Finance Ministry of Ukraine have approved eleven projects on the development of urban public transport worth EUR 163 million this year.

"In 2018, the Infrastructure Ministry and the Finance Ministry have approved eleven subprojects on the development of urban public transport worth EUR 163.36 million. The total sum provided for this purpose by the European Investment Bank is EUR 200 million," the press service of the Infrastructure Ministry reports.

As noted, on November 30, 2018, the fourth meeting of the steering committee of the European Investment Bank’s project "Urban Public Transport of Ukraine" was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Infrastructure Minister for European Integration Viktor Dovhan.

On completion of the meeting it was decided to endorse the subprojects on the development of urban public transport to the tune of EUR 24.36 million.
