Russia reduces gas transit through Ukrainian GTS by 7.4% - Ukrtransgaz

In January-November 2018, the volume of gas transit through the Ukrainian gas transportation system (GTS) amounted to 79.2 billion cubic meters, which is 7.4% less compared to the same period of last year.
Ukrinform learnt this from the press service of JSC Ukrtransgaz.
"The volumes of gas transit through the territory of Ukraine from the Russian Federation to the EU countries and Moldova amount to 79.2 billion cubic meters. Since the beginning of the year, the transit volumes have decreased by 6.3 billion cubic meters or by 7.4% compared to the same period in 2017," the report says.
As reported, the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities reduced the price for gas transit through the Ukrainian GTS (from the next year it will cost USD 3.02-6.04 per thousand cubic meters per day instead of the current USD 12).
