Wage arrears in Donetsk region grew by 20.6%

“As of November 1, 2018, wage arrears at economically active enterprises of the region (excluding parts of temporarily occupied territories) made up UAH 457.5 million, or 88.6% of total wage arrears. This is 1.4% higher from October 1, 2018, and 20.6% higher from January 1, 2018,” reads the report.

It is noted that debts of economically active enterprises to their employees grew by 1.1% in October and totaled UAH 421.3 million, or 92.1% of debts at economically active enterprises of all types of economic activities. Of this amount, UAH 130.7 million was not paid to employees of the coal industry, which is 5.4% less the amount recorded on October 1, but 2.1 times higher the amount recorded on January 1, 2018. The largest amount of unpaid wages was recorded at the region’s economically active enterprises of engineering industry: UAH 196.5 million on November 1, 2018.
