Ukraine's GTS estimated to be worth about $14 bln - Kobolev

He said this during the 3rd Ukrainian Oil and Gas Investment Forum 2018, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"The value of the Ukrainian GTS is about $14 billion. Any management company, in whatever format it was founded, should provide the state with a return on that capital in accordance with the value set by the regulator. Regardless of the format, it's necessary to find a mechanism that will ensure this revenue to the state," Kobolev said.

He noted that European partners are currently reluctant to buy the Ukrainian GTS at such an estimate.

Kobolev said on October 1 that a consortium with European partners to manage the Ukrainian gas transportation system could be set up in the first half of 2019. He expressed confidence that the Government of Ukraine would soon submit proposals to the Verkhovna Rada on the terms of the consortium.
