The auditors of the European Agency for Air Safety (EASA) have completed certification activities as part of the audit of the Ukrainian State Air Traffic Service Enterprise (UkSATSE) on its compliance with the EU regulatory requirements, according to the Infrastructure Ministry.

"On November 16, 2018, the auditors of the European Agency for Air Safety, after a week's work at UkSATSE departments located in the cities of Kyiv, Lviv and Uzhhorod, completed certification activities as part of the certification audit of UkSATSE. The EASA audit was carried out under the supervision of representatives of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Slovak Republic and the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine," reads the report.

The certification of UkSATSE by EASA is carried out in order to fulfill the requirements of the EU regulatory standards and to obtain the right to provide air traffic services in the part of the airspace of Slovakia, which is used during take-offs and landings of aircraft at Uzhhorod airfield. This step will be an additional incentive for the development of transport infrastructure in Zakarpattia region, the ministry reported.
