Ukraine interested in purchasing liquefied gas and coal until it covers resources deficit – Groysman

Ukraine is interested in projects for the supply of liquefied gas and coal from international partners, primarily the United States, until it covers the shortage of resources.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said this in an interview with Reuters, the Government portal reported.
“Liquefied gas is very interesting for Ukraine. We talked about the whole spectrum of our cooperation in the energy sector. As for coal, we will buy it from our international partners until we cover the domestic deficit,” Groysman said.
He stressed that the Government set a task to gain complete energy independence for all types of fuel. However, it takes time. And while all the mechanisms for performing the task are worked out, Ukraine use the proposals from its international partners, first of all the EU and the USA, regarding the supply of gas and coal.
