Ukraine, the United States have good prospects for deepening cooperation in energy sector – Groysman

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said this during a meeting with U.S. Secretary of Energy Rick Perry in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We see a wide range of opportunities for energy cooperation between the United States of America and Ukraine. We have great opportunities in everything related to the extraction of Ukrainian gas, interaction in the management of gas transportation system, deepening cooperation in the nuclear power industry and in many other areas," Groysman said.

He also expressed gratitude to the USA for support in a difficult period for Ukraine.

"From the first days of Russian aggression, we have faced not only military aggression, but also aggression in the energy sector. Our system of interaction with the U.S. Department of Energy and also with you personally gave us the opportunity to survive in this difficult time and to increase the capabilities of our energy system," the prime minister stressed.
