Ambassador: Czech entrepreneurs interested in investing in Ukraine

 “We see intensification not only in political relations. This year, we have organized several business forums in Ukraine. This indicates that the Czech entrepreneurs are interested in cooperation with the Ukrainian partners. The interest is huge,” Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Ukraine Radek Matula said during a press conference at the Ukrinform news agency.

The Czech Republic and the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ukraine intend to support the companies that will invest in Ukraine, he stressed.

In the first quarter of 2018, the trade turnover between Ukraine and the Czech Republic increased by 35% and totaled $426.3 million, and the surplus for Ukraine amounted to $9.1 million. The Czech Republic is one of important economic partners of Ukraine in Europe. The foreign trade in goods and services between the countries amounted to $1.7 billion in 2017, showing an increase of 29.2% compared with 2016.
