Ukraine’s international reserves grow to $18.1 bln – NBU

As of November 5, 2018, Ukraine’s international reserves reached $18.069 billion (in equivalent), the press service of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) reports.

"Ukraine’s international reserves as of November 5, 2018 amounted to $16.737 billion (in equivalent), according to preliminary data. The data as of early November did include the recent Eurobonds placement by the government. Due to the funds received from this placement, as of November 5, Ukraine’s international reserves grew to $18.069 billion, which corresponds to 3.0 months of future imports," reads the statement.

The central bank notes that the net purchase of foreign currency by the National Bank in October totaled $198.5 million. During the month, the National Bank bought $268.5 million (including $126 million by choosing the best price and $142.4 million at a fixed exchange rate) and sold $70 million (at a fixed exchange rate).
