Lviv region is leader in attracting investments – Kubiv

According to the results of 2016-2017 and eight months of 2018, Lviv region is a leader in attracting investments into Ukraine.

First Vice Prime Minister - Economic Development and Trade Minister of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv said this during the opening of the 18th International Economic Forum, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade informed on Twitter.

“Lviv region is the leader in attracting investments. In 2016-2017, about 140 enterprises were opened there, more than 20,000 new jobs were created,” Kubiv said.

Almost 83% of the total export growth for eight months of 2018 was provided by 10 regions of Ukraine. Lviv region is among the TOP 5 region in terms of the increase in exports and the TOP 3 in terms of the rate of increase in exports to the EU countries, Kubiv added.

The minister stressed that Ukraine in modern conditions offered investors a comfortable business climate, profitable projects and propositions, including large and small privatization, projects of public-private partnership, cooperation through the opening of joint venture companies.

As reported, according to Kubiv, as of mid-October, small privatization carried out through auctions ensured the receipt of almost UAH 300 million.
