Gas price for population grows by 23.5% from today

The corresponding decision was earlier approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.

Taking into account the delivery and VAT, the new gas price amounts to UAH 8.55 thousand per 1,000 cubic meters for the population, and UAH 8.36 thousand for district heating companies, according to the Corporate Communications Department of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine.

"The new gas price is formed in line with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine as of October 19, 2018, No.867, which approves a new provision on imposing special duties on natural gas market participants to ensure public interest in the process of functioning of the natural gas market,” reads the report.

As reported, heat prices would increase within a month after gas prices are raised.
