Ukrainian farmers already harvested 56 mln tonnes of grains
“As of October 26, the Ukrainian farmers threshed 55.8 million tonnes of grains from an area of 13.2 million hectares (89%) with a yield of 42.4 centners per ha,” reads the report.
In particular, 34.3 million tonnes of early grain and leguminous crops have been harvested from an area of 9.9 million hectares with a yield of 34.8 centners per ha; 20.7 million tonnes of corn from an area of 3.0 million hectares (66%) with a yield of 69.0 centners per ha; 133 thousand tonnes of buckwheat from an area of 106 thousand hectares (97%) with a yield of 12.6 centners per ha; 75 thousand tonnes of millet from an area of 48 thousand hectares (92%) with a yield of 15.5 centners per ha.
Also, 13.0 million tonnes of sunflower seeds were threshed from an area of 5.8 million hectares (96%) with a yield of 22.4 centners per ha; 4.0 million tonnes of soybeans from an area of 1.5 million hectares (91%) with a yield of 25.5 centners per ha; 2.7 million tonnes of rapeseed from an area of 1.0 million hectares with a yield of 26.1 centners per ha. Also, sugar beets were harvested from an area of 197 thousand hectares (71%) with a yield of 483 centners per ha.
As to the sowing campaign, the farmers have already sowed 6.9 million hectares with winter crops (96%), with a projected area of 7.2 million hectares and 1.0 million hectares (115%) with winter rapeseed, with a projected area of 888 thousand hectares.
