Ukraine and Belarus have outlined the strategic trends of further cooperation between the countries and certain regions that will allow entering new European markets.

"We need to strengthen regional cooperation and our economic opportunities. Today we can communicate in fields of energy, machine building, agriculture, metallurgy and, most importantly, the issue of cooperation. We have a very important task: trade turnover of UAH 5.2 billion for this year and that of UAH 8 billion for the coming years. We should look at other European markets that give us absolutely different opportunities. Ukrainian and Belarusian business, communicating with each other, prepare new products not only for regional development but for the future," Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister for Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Hennadiy Zubko said at the First Forum of the Regions of Ukraine and Belarus, which takes place in Gomel, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Each Ukrainian region turns into a powerful investment hub thanks to decentralization reform, Zubko stressed.
