Revenues from customs payments grew by 22.8% in January-September 2018 compared to the corresponding period last year, according to Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman.

"This year we have started to increase customs payments - plus 22.8% compared to 2017. Maybe, results will be even more optimistic by the end of the year. A total of UAH 231.4 billion has been already transferred. Average daily revenues amount to UAH 1.76 billion. Before we enhanced the fight against smuggling, we received UAH 1.33 billion a day,” he said this at a government meeting on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Groysman also stated about an increase in the GDP growth rate from the set target.

"We had GDP growth at 3.8% in the second quarter, while the projected figure was 3%. This means that we will produce products and services by [UAH] 1 trillion more in 2017-2018 than in the previous period. The unemployment rate is also decreasing,” he said.

The Prime Minister also stated about the growth in the construction sector, which rose by 5.7%, and Ukrainian exports increased by 12.4%
