Ukraine to allocate UAH 922.5 mln for emergency medicine in 2019 - PM

Ukraine's draft state budget for 2019 foresees the allocation of UAH 922.5 million for financing emergency medicine reform, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said.

"Next year we will proceed to the reform of emergency medicine. UAH 922.5 million will be allocated from the state budget for 2019 for this purpose. We will launch a pilot reform project in five regions - Vinnytsia, Donetsk, Odesa, Poltava, Ternopil regions - and in the city of Kyiv," Groysman wrote on Twitter.

According to him, the authorities will purchase specialized sanitary vehicles, conduct training programs for instructors to raise skills, and purchase special training equipment.

In addition, the government plans to raise salaries for doctors who have undergone retraining.
