The number of complaints filed to the Business Ombudsman Council of Ukraine regarding the State Fiscal Service has decreased by 3.5 times.

The press service of the State Fiscal Service posted this on its Facebook page with a reference to Business Ombudsman Algirdas Semeta.

"The number of complaints from taxpayers filed to the Business Ombudsman Council of Ukraine regarding unlawful actions of the State Fiscal Service has decreased significantly. In the third quarter of the current year, the Business Ombudsman Council received 157 complaints from business representatives, which is 3.5 times less than in the fourth quarter of 2017," reads the report.

According to the State Fiscal Service, the main reason for such a sharp decrease in complaints is the settlement of the situation with tax invoice registration. Since new criteria for blocking tax invoices have been introduced, business is no longer addressing on these issues.

In addition, the State Fiscal Service reported on a 17% decrease in the number of tax audit complaints.
