Ukraine’s imports of passenger cars grow - State Statistics

In January-August 2018, Ukraine imported 127,611 passenger cars (worth $1.356 billion), while in the corresponding period last year, imports of passenger cars to Ukraine amounted to 94,250 vehicles (worth $1.31 billion), according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
At the same time, in January-August 2018, 104 passenger cars were exported from Ukraine (for a total sum of $5.254 million), while deliveries to the foreign markets in the correspondent period last year made up 93 cars (worth $ 3.861 million).
In 2018, about 61% of the total export of passenger cars was sent to the United States and Canada, almost 57% of the imported cars were delivered from Western Europe.
As reported, only one company produced cars in Ukraine in the first half of 2018 – Eurocar. The total amount of manufactured cars made up 3,853 units.
