Number of job vacancies grows in Ukraine - statistics

There were 97,000 job vacancies in Ukraine officially offered by employers at the end of September 2018, which was 62.2% more than at the end of January 2018 (when 59,800 vacancies were offered), Ukraine's State Statistics Service has reported.

According to the service, there was one job opening for three unemployed persons in Ukraine at the end of September 2018, compared to one vacancy for six unemployed persons at the end of January this year.

The average unemployment benefit has not changed significantly over this period. The monthly assistance amounted to UAH 2,483 at the end of January 2018, compared to UAH 2,510 at the end of September (an increase of 1.1%).

According to the State Statistics Service, employers offered 73,400 jobs at the end of September 2017. The average unemployment benefit amounted to UAH 2,033.
