Banks’ loan portfolio in September grew by 1.1% - NBU

In September 2018, Ukrainian banks’ loan portfolio in the national currency rose by 1.1% to UAH 614.6 billion.

This preliminary data of monetary statistics was released by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).

"The banks’ credit portfolio in the national currency in September increased by 1.1% to UAH 614.6 billion," the central bank’s press service reports.

In September, banks actively provided loans for corporate borrowers - their volume grew both in the national currency (by 1.1% to UAH 485.7 billion) and in foreign currency (by 1.3% to $14.7 billion).

According to the NBU, the volume of hryvnia loans for the population also grew in September - by 0.9% to UAH 127.4 billion.
