Ukraine, UK developing certificates for mutual trade in food

The Ukrainian delegation and the representatives of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) of the United Kingdom discussed the forms of bilateral certificates for mutual trade in agricultural and food products.

“The Ukrainian delegation consisting of Olha Trofimtseva, the Deputy Agrarian Policy and Food Minister of Ukraine, and Volodymyr Lapa, the Head of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, discussed with the DEFRA representatives the coordination of forms of bilateral certificates and items with potential for mutual trade," the press service of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection reports.

Ukraine is interested in expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of sanitary and phytosanitary measures and fostering cooperation between the government laboratories, the Head of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection noted.
