Wizz Air reports increase in passenger numbers on Ukrainian routes by 145%

During the summer of 2018, Wizz Air carried more than 450,000 passengers on its Ukrainian routes, showing a 145% growth compared with June-August last year.

"During the summer period from June 1 to September 1, 2018, Wizz Air carried more than 450,000 passengers on its Ukrainian low-cost routes, which represents a 145% growth compared with the same period last year," Wizz Air press service reports.

This summer, the most popular destinations from Kyiv were Budapest, Memmingen, Dortmund, Frankfurt, Berlin-Schönefeld (Germany), Warsaw and Copenhagen.

Wizz Air now offers flights on 42 routes to 12 countries from three Ukrainian airports in Kyiv, Lviv and Kharkiv, including recently announced new destinations to Austria, Poland, Denmark, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, the United Kingdom and Germany.
