World Bank to release another economic forecast for Ukraine

The World Bank office will present another economic outlook for Ukraine on October 4, Communications Consultant at the World Bank Office in Ukraine Iuliia Mendel has told Ukrinform.

"How much does Ukraine lose from fighting in the east and tension in the Sea of Azov? What decisions did influence the economy in 2018 the most, and what growth should be expected this year? The World Bank Office in Ukraine presents the economic outlook for Ukraine, which will take place on October 4," she said.

According to Mendel, the presentation will take place with the participation of World Bank Director for Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine Satu Kahkonen, as well as Lead Economist and Program Leader covering Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine Faruk Khan and Economist for Ukraine at the World Bank Anastasia Golovach.

The World Bank released its previous macroeconomic forecast for the economic situation in Ukraine in 2018 in April this year. In particular, the World Bank kept unchanged the forecast of GDP growth in Ukraine at 3.5% in 2018.
