Klimkin, Sullivan discuss sanctions against Russia and Nord Stream 2

Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin and U.S. Deputy Secretary of State John Sullivan discussed the issue of counteracting Russian aggression, the sanction regime against Russia and the Nord Stream 2 project.

The press service of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine reported this on the results of a meeting between Klimkin and Sullivan during the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

"During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues of Ukrainian-American relations, the continued provision of large-scale assistance by the US to Ukraine, including in the field of security and defense, the issue of counteracting Russian aggression, in particular, in the field of cyber security, the sanction regime against Russia, the problem of implementation of the Nord Stream 2 project," the report reads.

As reported, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko arrived in New York as the head of an official delegation to participate in the high-level general debate of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly.
