Ukrainian SMEs to present handmade goods at China International Import Expo

"Ukraine will present for the first time its national stand at the China International Import Expo 2018 (CIIE 2018), which will be held in Shanghai on November 5-10. Along with presentations of government agencies, products and services picked out within the national selection, the products and services of large companies as well as the best samples of the value-added goods of Ukrainian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) will be presented," the press service of the Economic Development and Trade Ministry of Ukraine reports.

As noted, the national stand organizers will provide special places for the demonstration of handmade goods produced by Ukrainian SMEs.

The national stand will focus on the opportunities that Ukraine offers to Chinese investors and buyers of agricultural and industrial products, IT and innovation, products of mechanical engineering, creative industries, tourism and education.

"In 2017, Ukraine’s exports to China totalled $2.1 billion, showing an increase of 11.3%. Now we together should create better opportunities for increasing the export of science-based innovative products. So it is important now to show our international partners that Ukrainian products are original, competitive and of high quality," said First Vice Prime Minister, Economic Development and Trade Minister of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv.
