Ukraine exported over 22,000 tonnes of sugar in August

In August 2018, Ukrainian sugar producers delivered 22,400 tonnes of sugar to the foreign markets.
"In the last month of the marketing year, domestic manufacturers delivered 22,400 tonnes of sugar to the foreign markets. The largest deliveries were made to Uzbekistan (79%). In addition, minor shipments were made to Azerbaijan and Moldova (10% and 6% respectively)," the press service of the National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine reports.
“August is not a very active month for sugar exports, so shipments abroad dropped by 39% compared to July,” noted Ruslana Butylo, the director of the Analytical Department of the National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine.
September 2017 - August 2018, 560,400 tonnes of Ukrainian sugar were exported.
