Ukraine will spend $12 billion in 2019 to repay and service foreign debt, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said.

He said this during a forum "Full mobilization: a joint action plan," an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Every year we have to service state debt for $5 billion, or UAH 130 billion. We need funds for this purpose. I will not say that we need at least 5% [of GDP] to finance the Ukrainian army, and this is another [UAH] 201 billion. Next year, when we talk about servicing and repaying [foreign debt], we need $12 billion to service and pay [the debt]," Groysman said.

Earlier, the government approved a medium-term strategy for managing the state debt for 2018-2020.
