NBU sold $40.1 mln at today’s auction

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) at the foreign exchange auction today, September 4, 2018, sold $40.10 million at the average weighted exchange rate set at UAH 28.4844 per U.S. dollar, according to the press service of the central bank.
During the auction, banks submitted 37 bids worth $53.50 million. The total amount of 27 satisfied bids made up $40.10 million.
According to the NBU, the minimum exchange rate of hryvnia was UAH 28.4800 per U.S. dollar, the maximum stood at UAH 28.4925 per U.S. dollar.
Earlier, the NBU stated it planned to sell up to $100 million at the foreign exchange auction on September 4.
