Government extends list of goods prohibited for import from Russia

The Cabinet of Ministers has banned the import of cement clinker originating in the Russian Federation.
The relevant decree was developed by the Economic Development and Trade Ministry to protect the interests of national economic security and Ukrainian cement producers, the Government portal reports.
"On August 29, the Cabinet of Ministers banned the import of the Russia-origin cement clinker into the territory of Ukraine," reads the statement.
It is noted that cement clinker is a sintered mixture of limestone and clay (or slag), a semi-finished product used in the production of cement.
The introduction of cement clinker in the list of goods prohibited for import is carried out within the policy of economic counteraction to discriminatory actions against Ukraine by the aggressor state.
