Acting Head of the State Fiscal Service Myroslav Prodan stated this at a government meeting on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Over the first seven months of the current year, UAH 395 billion was transferred to the state budget, including due to the fight against smuggling. Comparing with the same period of last year, this is by UAH 50 billion or 15% more,” said Prodan.
He noted that the hryvnia rate remained at about the same level as in the same period of last year.
"So, the fight against the shadow economy in the country goes on," said Prodan.
He specified that UAH 216 billion in revenues was contributed to the state budget from tax payments (plus 19% compared to the previous year) and UAH 179 billion - from customs payments (plus 10%).
