NBU sold $24.8 mln at today’s auction

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) at the foreign exchange auction today, August 17, 2018, sold $24.80 million at the average weighted exchange rate set at UAH 27.9313 per U.S. dollar, according to the press service of the central bank.
During the auction, banks submitted 34 bids worth $32.70 million. The total amount of 28 satisfied bids made up $24.80 million.
According to the NBU, the minimum exchange rate of hryvnia was UAH 27.9200 per U.S. dollar, the maximum stood at UAH 27.9550 per U.S. dollar.
Earlier, the NBU stated it planned to sell up to $50 million at the foreign exchange auction on August 17.
