SEP processes initial payments for UAH 12 trillion in H1 2018 – NBU

"In the first half of 2018, the SEP processed 168,579 thousand initial payments for the amount of UAH 12 trillion: 168,174 thousand initial payments for the amount of UAH 7.6 trillion were made in a batch mode, 405 thousand initial payments in the amount of UAH 4.5 trillion – in a real-time mode,” reads the report.

In the first half of 2018, the SEP processed 1,382 thousand initial payments worth UAH 100 billion per day on average.

As July 2018, 177 institutions were SEP participants, including the National Bank of Ukraine, all banks of Ukraine and their branches, the State Treasury Service of Ukraine and its authorities.

The SEP ensures the execution of settlements between banks within Ukraine, both on behalf of bank customers and under obligations of banks and other system participants.
