Market of new passenger cars grew in Ukraine - UkrAutoProm

In July 2018, 6,700 new passenger cars were registered in Ukraine, which is 4% more than in the same period last year.

This data has been provided by the Ukrainian Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association, UkrAutoProm.

“The Ukrainian market of new passenger cars started the second half of the year with positive dynamics. The number of registered passenger cars grew by almost 4% to 6,700 units compared with 2017. As to the increase against the previous month, the growth made up almost 3%,” reads the report.

In particular, Renault cars had the largest demand over the period, with 725 cars registered. Its share on the market of new passenger cars grew by 12% from the last year’s results.

The second in terms of sales was Japan’s Toyota with 723 cars sold.

Skoda ranked third. It sold 503 cars in July 2018, which is three cars more compared with July 2017.

The fourth position took Nissan. It sold 465 cars in July 2018, recording a 25% rise from the previous year.

And the fifth in the top leaders was Hyundai, with 452 cars sold. Its demand in Ukraine grew by 51%.

The top 10 most popular cars also includes KIA (438 cars; -10%), Volkswagen (434 cars; -9%), Suzuki (261 cars; +16%), and Mazda (233 cars; -18%).

The best-selling car of the month was KIA’s Sportage, 301 people bought it in July.
