President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko wrote this on his Facebook page.
"One year ago, on August 1, 2017, the free trade agreement between Ukraine and Canada came into effect. The results of the agreement were positive – according to the results of 2017, the export of Ukrainian goods increased by 74%. The export of goods continues to grow – for the first 5 months of this year it increased by 37%. This growth has taken place for the first time since 2014," Poroshenko wrote.
The president added that "the most important thing is that Canada is not only one of the leading trading partners, but also a good friend of Ukraine."
