New state construction standards for heating systems will improve the condition of heating systems due to systemic corrosion control and modern methods of water treatment.

Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Lev Partskhaladze wrote this on his Facebook page.

"We are changing people's lives for the better, therefore we are updating the state construction standards for heating systems. This is needed for improving the condition of the pipes of heating networks and minimizing possible pipeline accidents. According to new changes in the state construction standards, the control over internal corrosion on steel pipelines is improved by installing special corrosion control sensors and introducing modern methods of water treatment," Partskhaladze explained.

According to him, these standards will extend the period of accident-free operation of pipelines, reduce the repair costs, and improve the quality of the provision of heat supply services, because the number of pipe breaks and possible accidents will decrease.
