Highest salaries in June recorded in Donetsk region

In June, the highest level of average monthly salaries totaling UAH 9,774 was recorded in Donetsk region, according to the Economic Development and Trade Ministry.
"The average nominal wage in Ukraine for June 2018 made up UAH 9,141, which is 2.5 times more than the minimum wage and 24.2% more comparted with June 2017,” reads the report.
Among the most highly paid regions were also Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions with the average salaries recorded at UAH 9,481and UAH 9,065 correspondingly.
The Economic Development and Trade Ministry also noted that the highest level of average salaries in Ukraine was recorded in the pharmaceutical, financial and insurance sectors, as well as IT and telecommunications sectors.
